Hello everyone. I am new to the board and I already have a question. I went out and bought a used Ultra-vibe 10 vibrating machine and it is of course loud and moves about. It has three small screws on the bottom that look like it should be anchored to something, but I was looking for suggestions as to what is best to anchor it to, and what surface to put the whole thing on as I assume it will vibrate around and move around. Thanks

Welcome to the RTH . I think the three screws are to hold rubber feet on to the bottom . No need to anchor it down if loaded properly .

Welcome Jeff! I have a different vibratory tumbler, so I don’t have any suggestions for you.

Check to see that all the bolts holding the springs(4 I think) are properly tightened. Also make sure the center bolt that the barrel slips over and is the barrel and lid tightening bolt is not loose. My UV-18 has sheared off two of these in the last couple of years. I caught one before it completely sheared off the other time not so lucky and had a large mess to clean as it was doing a burnishing(soap) run.
There should also be a wingnut and washer assembly connecting the barrel to the base and one for the lid. make sure they are both tightened firmly.
I also added a couple of layers of rubber between the barrel and the base to help dampen the noise as the old padding had worn thin. You can also use the gasket material they sell in sheets at Auto Parts stores.

The screw holes are for rubber feet. We have 2 uv10 units that live on our covered patio. As wigglinrocks said, no need to bolt down. I hope yours is the UV10 industrial version with the blue stripe on the barrel, the other is intended for dry tumbling.

Howdy jeffc to RTH Forum from Duke in SW Michigan. I have a Brand New Utra Vibe 18 tat I just put into operation and mine doesn't move a bit which totally shocked me for as much noise it makes and the boiling action inside it stays on my bench smooth as silk. I would do what Hank Suggests and if that doesn't solve the problem you should contact the mfg or who you purchased it from. What kind of bench or table is it setting on? If it is something that is not so nice you can use a couple Plastic Caps and put them so the rubber feet bumpers sit in them. You can epoxy or drive a roofing nail down through them then place tumbler feet in them two should hold it from walking off the table. Good Luck! ~Duke
