^what im working on nowcontent://media/external/file/21637 So, growing up i was always picking up rocks everywhere i went. It drove my family insane. Every place we went. "Can I grab some rocks?" Eventually they bought me a rock tumbler. I used it til the grit ran out and eventually got rid of it. I just didbt have the money as a kid to buy grit.eventually my family made me get rid of my rocks which were from all over the us. Then last year or so i started collecting rocks to paint. Then I moved to az from pa and my rockhounding picked up again something fierce. So i went and got a tumbler from a pawn shop and im on my second batch. 1st one didnt really go to well. I mean a dew nice ones i turned into necklaces. Im on stage one day 3. Nice to meet y'all! Happy rocking!

Welcome to RTH from the sunny and warm Atlanta area of Georgia. Glad to hear you're picking up stones "something fierce" again.

Welcome to the site. Do some reading here and you’ll see that most of us run the first stage for weeks or months. The directions that come with tumblers usually say to do each stage for about a week, but unfortunately that’s not going to produce very nice rocks.
What kind of tumbler did you buy?
