HAs anyone ever used dip it or a similar rubberized plastic on the inside of cabbing machine s in the bottom and back splash

to make it totally water proof and fix any leaks in seams ext and it should never rust again

I could see the need if the paint failed and you were getting rust in the bottom. But that said a good cleaning and repainting might be just as good as a coating.

If I needed a liner I would cut it out of sheet plastic There not hard to make

I used some POR15 on an old rusty Lortone arbor once. Spendy but it worked well. I think there are some less expensive similar products out there but haven't tried them.

Rockoonz , i beleive Eastwood has stuff for restoring old cars that is like por15 . I have a friend who does Rhino lining and i am thinking of trying some on one of my machines when i redo it

I would either add a sacrificial zinc anode or spray the areas with a rust concerting paint. These paints have a phosphate compound that converts the rust in to a protective layer.
