Lots of snowflakes on those. They look really good. I forget, are you using a Lot-O?

Congrats. Using a rotary, I won't even attempt this. If you're happy with the results, then all is good.

Is snowflake obsidian tougher to shine up than some of the other obsidians?

Obsidian can be a tricky tumble and even worse to photograph. I am not sure why but the snowflake I have done always seems to have pits and cracks. I do not see that in other varieties of obsidian. Good job on yours.

I just checked a few snowflake cabs that were in rotary. All were ready to move to next stage. Your tumbles of this difficult material are an inspiration. Call me nuts, but I am determined to rotary snowflake cabs. If it can be done in a vibe, why not rotary? Especially if I can touch them up by hand with Dremel and/or clothes with polishing medium. PS, I also moved my next batch of Apache Tears from 1200 to 12,000 polish. Figure 2-4 weeks in that.
Thank you for posting these.

Snowflake seems to be a more porous form of obsidian. Seems like the higher the flake density the more porous it becomes. You have high flake density and still mastered a fine polish without the pits saxplayer. Hat's off to an exceptional job. You nailed the polish in this photo, angles, light intensity, etc:
