They will sell you a "conversion kit", which is about equivalent to selling you a watercooled engine to go into your air cooled VW and calling it a "kit" (some fabrication required, and it still might not fit right) The brass they use for the half nuts is an easy machine cheap alloy intended fir single use plumbing fittings, not very durable long term. Typical crap you can expect from them. Cigarbox rocks will rebuild your set for around $185 or so, good for a lifetime. I renewed my own with a vice, file, and thread tap. Not a job I can walk you through long distance though.

Like Rockoonz, If it was me I would take the mechanism out, clean it up and fix it myself. An easy job.
Like I always say to people mulling over fixing things, give it a go, you have nothing to lose, it's destined for the garbage anyway. If you have to buy a thread tap for say $30 and succesfully fix it you have saved whatever it was going to cost for a new one, and stll have a handy new tool for future use.
Clamp the jaws in a vice, run the tap through it to clean and cut the thread, done. If it's badly worn you may need to file a bit of the inside of the "legs" so they can close far enough. Or if it's really badly worn get someone with an Oxy welder to build up inside the jaws first and then recut the thread. Or if you don't have a vice, file, and the correct thread tap, take it to an engineering shop and get them to do it.
At least if you fix it then you don't have to do mods to your saw to fit a new one in.

Not as simple as just clamping in a vice. First you need a jig to keep them parrallel, and a bolt to put into the threaded part to keep them lined up while clamping, which should be done with multiple C-clamps. If not done properly, you may end up with something that you can't even use as a core.

They said not many parts left for my pre 1962 made saw. Suggested a new one. Nice folks and helpful but I'll try and fix her.
