Here's what knocked out today. Clouds were pretty heavy, and the lighting sucks in the carport (my work area) unless it's sunny. So, I'm happy that it looks like I've only got one to fix (the Stone Canyon-type, which is hard, as, well, a rock -- we all know that real jasper is harder than nails).

This started off as one cab, but it broke on the 280 wheel, so now it's two. Lined up to show approximately how the original cab would have looked. I love dino bone, but it can be a tad frustrating, if you're married to a certain result.

Bought at a show a few years ago. Advertised as Stone Canyon jasper. To me, it looks more brown/orange. Possibly like Cayucos. Definitely California Coast Range stuff. Lakerdog (we miss you) said it lookes like fallen Fall leaves. I have added that descriptor to the name, in his honor.

AKA chrysanthemum jasper, spider jasper and hurricane starburst jasper. And, of course, it is actually a rhyolite, not a true jasper.

On the pale side, but a little darker than this photo shows.

Amazing patterns in this stuff are amazing. Black Butte stuff is often too soft to polish well (or at least has soft spots). Not a problem with this piece. Polished to a mirror shine on the 14,000 wheel. Note the reflection of the photographer in the stone.
Made the day after Thanksgiving. It kept me out of stores on Buy Nothing Day. Not that I need any help staying out of stores. :-)
It was also National Espresso Day.
