Made yesterday, along with some other cabs, but I'm not happy with the photos. I decided to leave the face of this one flat, since it;s a large cab, but pretty thin (about 3mm), and the most common time for them to snap is when I'm doming, since the bone matrix is softer than the agate filling the cells. I guess after 150 million years, some osteoporosis is allowed.

Beautiful piece of bone! I think your picture turned out fine. Thank you. I meant that I was not happy with the pics of the other cabs. This one is OK after I fixed a few things.

Ha Ha. Someone on Flickr said it would be a great guitar pick. My response to that is: It would require some serious stabilization to actually be used as a pick, but, yes, I've used that descriptor for this shape in the past. It would have been great for a guitarist like Marc Bolan (T. Rex), or Barry Melton or John Cipollina (Dinosaurs).
