Will it hurt to have mineral oil and water in my 10" saw at the same time? Seems like a silly question. Thanks all.

As long as it lubes the blade, your fine... Just make sure you get it emptied and clean after cutting... Question, why water in your 10" saw? They usually run with oil...

No particular reason. I've read where folks use water with a lubricant. Oil just pretty messy in the 10". Gets filthy quick. Thanks

As Fossilman said, straight oil is recommended for 10" and up saws.
I did the oil-and-water thing for a while when I got my first 6" saw. It makes kind of a frothy, milky mess after the blade whips it up.
It lubricates a little better than just water, but the additives are water-soluble and made for that purpose. I'd stick with oil for the 10".

Messy or not, I run oil in all my saws, from the 6" to the 14"... I like my shafts, bearings and etc to receive the oil... Water can goof up a lot of machinery, if forgotten about, after it's use!

I would not run any blade in water or an additive mix. I tried using a Kingsley North mix with water in a 6" saw and developed a rash on my hands and wrist from the solution. Stay with the oil and change as necessary.
