They already look very good. Will be interesting to see the difference after the AO polish.

I am not a tumbler so maybe I am missing something but looks like they have a great polish to me.

Not bad. Seriously, they look great. Are you planning on taking comparison photos of the same rocks? It'd be interesting to see if there's a noticeable difference to the eye.

It will for sure be interesting to see the results after the polish. I can kind of see on the Montanas especially where they are a little "flat"

They sure look good in pictures. I think you have to see them in person to really know what they look like. You should leave some the way they are and tumble others so you can compare.

I'm a newbie so I can't really tell the details, but I like them very much! (and I envy you those tiger eyes... *sigh*)

Yes, please put up comparison pictures when you are done. The only thing I'm really able to see in these pics is that MAYBE they're not quite as shiny as what you usually post, but they're shiny enough to make it difficult to tell.

Photos seem to have limitations on telling a great polish from a very good polish. The human eye can see a super polish easily. AO 500 will get agates to a great polish in my vibes, but glass requires that AO 14,000 polish step in the Lot-O to arrive at a great polish.

I'm not a tumbler, and as others have mentioned, photos have limitations. However, I judge you guilty of creating beautiful tumbles, and sentence you to making further batches.

I did not even think about it before loading the polish barrel. Moral of the story is that unless this shortcut could consistently produce not just equal but better results then I will not be doing it. This batch ran 7 days in the loto which is the same duration as my normal process. The only savings are 1/2 teaspoon of polish and a 10 minute clean out. That said I think a whole lot of people could do this and be very pleased with the results. There seems to be a large movement towards reducing the number of stages lately. Chuck

i kind of prefer rocks that are more opaque. so my favorites are the ones in the second photo! i'd really like to find a lot of those some day. Thank you for sharing.

Those look like Owyhee or similar Jasper. Nevada has some that probably come close enough. Vegasjames might be able to steer you in the right direction.

Chuck, are you planning to update this post with pictures after the vibe? Or, do another thread with side by side photos? Either will be very interesting because the ones here are so nice I can barely imagine an improvement.
