I cut this out of a piece I acquired with the purchase of a closed rock shops stock. I am thinking lapis but it did not color my water when I was cutting it as all the other lapis I have cut has done. Any thoughts? Thanks

I've seen purple Burro Creek agate that looks like that.

Burro Creek Jasper is looking like the one. The collection was purchased near there and I have seen some pictures that make me think that is what is is. Thanks all for your input. What a great resource this venue is!

Resembles some of the Dumortierite (a.k.a. "Desert Lapis") I've cut in the past.
