Playing the game Mousetrap with your 4 year-old grandson over your lunch hour... I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Wow, they still make that game? I remember playing it when I was a kid.

Wow, they still make that game? I remember playing it when I was a kid. Not sure if they still make it or not. I'm sure that if they still make it, it's a cheaper version. I bought Cootie for him a while back and it's junk. The pieces don't fit right and fall out. I'm pretty sure the one that we played is from when my kids were younger- the box is in pretty bad shape...

I do have an 8 year old grand nephew who had a party Sun. I got him a cool drone for kids that is in a nonbreakable cage. It was hit!

Just wondering how many remember this? Apparently, I'm a hoarder. Oh well, it's better than him sitting in front of a TV or tablet...

One of the most irritating jingles IMHO. It was searing in my brain as I typed my post above.

I had a Lite Brite as a kid. Loved it.
My favorite was Tip-It, though. Played that constantly with my sisters.
ETA: Oh yeah, and Operation.

Sounds like a great time.
I have been picking up vintage games for many years. Also have many of my childhood ones. Felt compelled to get my daughter some I always wanted, but never had.
Still have my 1960's Cootie. A 1970 Trouble. A vintage Lite Bright I purchased used for my daughter.
Chutes and Ladders, Battleship. My Uncles 1930's pinball game (wood frame and glass front). Vintage metal marble games. A Pong. Many more.
I love all of these old games. Much better than playing games on the computer or a phone.

We were too poor to have board games when I was a kid. We had to learn to play with rocks. LOL

We were too poor to have board games when I was a kid. We had to learn to play with rocks. LOL Back in the 70's a local gas station was giving away hot wheels cars with gas purchases. I remember building a ramp to send the cars down. Used small rocks to build the edges of a road. The goal was for the cars to stay within the rock edges of the road. The game evolved to using flatter and smoother rocks for the cars to travel up and over. Thanks for bringing back this memory.
