Thought I would share these photos of the display pieces I cleaned up. Learned a lot of history about the pieces. The first one was used in the 1940's to 50's for hanging nuts and candy on during the movies at the Opera House. Was told everyhting on the rack was 5 cents. I used a wire brush to clean the rust off. Then did a primer coat. Then 3 coats of gloss black paint. Last a gloss clear sealer. I will use this for earrings on cards. Here is the other one. I cleaned it. Sanded the wood. Added some stain and an oil finish. Attached some brass hinges. Put large paper clips on for hanging bracelets and necklaces. This was made from two former window screens in the Opera House basement. They were removed in the 1960's when the local school was using the basement kitchen to prepare lunches for the school. There were too many flies going through the screens to make it safe to use as a school kitchen. I love the history of both of these pieces. Knowing what they were in their former life, how they were used, means lot to me.

Spent some time yesterday getting things together. I had mentioned before that I did not have any tables for my space. Think that is partially solved. I should be able to load one folding table in my car today and take to location. Able to borrow some other small ones that are at location. Will be bringing the above display pieces and a stool I use for display. Some other display props. Will be using a row of the theater chairs instead of tables for one side and the back of booth
Being able to drop off some items today makes a huge difference. There is only 2.5 hours for set up tomorrow. I need to have some things there today so I can concentrate on showing the other vendors their spaces and answering questions. No way I could slowly unload my car, set up my display and be the show manager at the same time tomorrow.
I will be working with another this AM to slide the theater chairs out of the way, mark spaces and get everything ready for tomorrow. I do not like loading/unloading things when it is raining, but have no choice. Supposed to rain all day.
Will be taking some photos today prior to us moving things and of my display and those of others tomorrow.

Did not take any photos yesterday. All we moved were a few rows of chairs to the side. I was able to borrow two 3' square tables for my space. I have one 6' folding table. There are 4 chairs at the back of my space which I will utilize. What I put out all depends on room. Prioritize, as I am bringing more items than there is space for. I did get a photo of an outside window that still has one of the screens I used. They remain in several of the windows.

Just a few photos from today. Items by "Mr. and Mrs." wigglinrocks were put in my best display piece. Their works received a lot of nice comments. I was in craft sale mode today, as opposed to art/lapidary show, so the pieces reflect this. I added some fabric to the back of the hinged display. Sold some pieces. Was able to spend some time discussing rocks with children. It was a very nice day in Wisconsin. Lots of other local events. Those combined to reduce attendees. Tomorrow is another day... wigglinrocks items Here is my stuff. Apache Tears are always popular. I do build a necklace/bracelet at craft shows. Have a variety of silver plate necklaces and some bracelets. Customers can select charms and I add them to the necklaces/bracelets. Other table. I like setting a display case of guitar picks and/or cabs on top of this stool. Hinged display case with fabric. Tomorrow I will be doing double duty. Taking care of my space and also the Opera House snack/beverage/silent auction/merchandise one.

On Sunday, it was raining and I had a massive head ache. Opened the building and waited. No other vendors showed up, so I packed up most of my space and headed home. Put a sign on door that the event was cancelled.
I already had permission to come back Tuesday to get the larger items from my space.
This is the first time in over 25 years as being a show manager that there has been minimal customers attend the event. Part of it was related to many other area events happening the same day. Part was due to a $0 budget for advertising. Part was due to another person setting the dates. Part was due to the new dates being different than the past ones for an annual event. Part was due to the requirement that I do all advertising and pay for it myself (as a volunteer).
Tough situation being a vendor and show manager, but I did it successfully many times in the past. I know everything that went wrong and will be doing what I can to ensure it never happens again.
The bright side was that after paying for my 2 day space, subtracting mileage to get to the event, I profited $20.00. Could have been worse.

Between you and TheRock I guess it wasn’t the weekend for record setting rock shows Nice setup you have though!

Thanks for the set up compliment. First time doing this, as in the past I had more tables. This was a small space one.

If we had a second tent which we have that one replaced we could have set that one up MJs friend did $700.00 Saturday and didn't go there the next day. Maryjane would have done $1400.00 and prolly $1000.00 the next these figures figuring on past Apple Festivals and what her friends did. So we let $2,400.00 slip away from us. Remember what I said about having spares? That goes for having a Spare Tent also. Not Spending $120.00 for a spare tent cost us $2,400.00. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
