Happy Birthday to all of you, even Jean...;-) Well gee, thanks a bunch, Diane.
We'll celebrate in a small way tonight - some leftover spaghetti, and dessert, watching TV.
Diane, I'll think of you while enjoying the dessert I made this morning -
Quick and easy to make, just add milk and some butter/margarine for the crust, everything else is in the kit.
Ignore those numbers on the lower left of the box, calories do not count for birthday fare!
ETA - I should mention that the celebration with family will be Saturday evening dinner at my Dad's house. My favorite, chicken cordon bleu, yum. I'm sure everyone knows that the REAL celebrating has to wait until the weekend.

Enjoy, you deserve it! Thank you. I did enjoy it, and I did deserve it, lol. As mentioned, we did have dinner with family at my dad's last Saturday. Chicken Cordon Bleu, rice pilaf with mushrooms, and asparagus (can you say stinky pee?), followed by some dump cake for dessert. As with the Oreo dessert, calories do not count on birthdays.
My sister had just gotten the recipe off of Facebook. Similar to the one Pat posted October 4 in the recipe thread DUMP CAKE . Pat's recipe took cherry pie filling and pineapple, and yellow or white cake mix. My sister used apple pie filling, and a spice cake mix. Her recipe called for TWO sticks of butter (one would have sufficed, but you always have to make a new recipe as written at least for the first time).
Now for mrrockpicker's birthday in six days! Yippee! Will be thinking of you and Gypsy once again, Diane, while savoring the birthday desert dessert! I picked up a box of Trader Joe's maple pecan cookie and baking mix. You can make a loaf with it, but the cookies pictured on the box look mighty tasty!
Here's to more birthdays for everybody!!!

Thanks for the Birthday wishes, Bob. Looks like I'll just be having one on RTH. Two at home.
Bob, I never heard from jamesp . Guess he has moved on and is enjoying life without us. (Is that possible?? )
Don't know about the others (Chas and Deb), but at least we heard from ingawh . She's still around and checking in.

First and foremost Happy Birthday to RTH sweetheart Jean. This forum would not be the same without you Jean. (Please excuse jamesp, been up to me arse in alligators for the past 3 months building a cabin in mountains and an add-on at home.)
