I don't know how this time of year got here so quickly but I just thought I'd throw in my two cents. Under a blizzard warning here, 6 to 14 inches between tonight and tomorrow. 50 mile an hour winds. Kinda making it hard to go rock hounding! 😐

Heavy rain here with wind gusts to 50 mph! No snow, but the arroyos (washes) are running and we have some flooding in low lying areas.

I feel your pain. Freezing drizzle here now. Expected to change to sleet, freezing rain or snow later. I have to go to work at 3:00 and will be there until 11:00 PM. Then back to work at 10:45 tomorrow, for at least 8 hours. We are only predicted to get 6-12" of snow. There might be an ice storm combined. Winds here of only 30 MPH or less.

I hear ya! Woke up this morning to 3" of snow on the ground. All the roads going up farther north to Flagstaff and beyond are closed right now.

Yuck. 6-12 is 6-12 more than I like, especially when you have to go to work in it. Ice storms are even worse.

South Shore, Lake Superior. Received about 12" of wet snow in Bayfield County. 12-16" more predicted, with up to 50 MPH winds late today through Sunday. My daughter and her Husband are trying to decide whether to leave today or stay and possibly get snowed in. Both are public servants, Fire and Police. At last they took their 4WD truck on the trip.

At the back-northern side of the "Bomb Cyclone" we got a bunch of snow Wednesday. The old record snowfall for November was around an inch, but we ended up with 10 by early Thursday, so shattered that record. Clouds parted overnight and woke up to this: Glad I filled the bird feeders beforehand. We seem to have a mob of around 80, some of whom seem to have been caught here by surprise (the goldfinches, orioles, bluejays, etc. usually leave for a month come mid-December-mid January to avoid the normal period when there are better chances for snow deeper than a dusting). Today it will only get into the mid 20s, but this is all moving east to spread the joy, and we'll be back to the 40s and 50s starting Sunday.

One wouldn't normally associate Arizona with snow, but I know it happens. Northern AZ with the higher altitudes gets snow all the time. Where we are we get snow, but not usually anything to moan about. Usually it's gone in a day, but this storm is pretty mean. Flagstaff and north of there are really getting hammered. The Snow Bowl is getting feet of snow and they're happy about it being a ski area.
We just got done shoveling. The snow is wet and heavy -- glad that's done. We lost power for a little bit earlier today. Now we're gonna have lunch and relax for the rest of the day.

Lots of little Oregon juncos hanging around, I see. We have them here, too. Like those little birds.

New forecast for my area of Central WI today though Sunday PM. Mix of snow, sleet, rain and freezing rain. Snow/sleet totals up to 10". Ice accumulation of about.2". Wind gusts up to 45 MPH. Power outages expected, as there are many trees still hanging over power lines from the July storm.

Me personally, I love winter as I find it so incredibly peaceful.
It has been snowing here since late last night, not too much on the ground, yet. We are suppose to get around 8-10". I was up at 5:30am, fed the chickens, pheasants and ducks and then and went on a two mile walk through the woods, before it got too bad out there.
It is gonna be a good lazy weekend

I would probably like it if I did not have to work today.

I'm appreciating the 1/2" of snow we got overnight. Heading out soon to deer hunt for the rest of the day. So hard to see through the woods I hunt. Snow on the ground will really open that up.

I would probably like it if I did not have to work today. That's how I see it also. If I could take the grandson sledding or get out in the woods instead of working I would see it differently. It can be peaceful and beautiful and it's nice to look at...

Lots of little Oregon juncos hanging around, I see. We have them here, too. Like those little birds. Yes, I like them, too. They usually avoid getting on the feeders and patrol the ground cleaning up after the messier birds (otherwise, we'd get overrun by ground squirrels). The fluffy snow has them daring even to perch on the finch feeder now - even the big Western Jays and Flickers have decided to try doing that, which can be a comical balancing act. Sometimes there'll be 20 little birds almost completely covering that, and they'll sit there inches from my face yelling at me when I go out to refill. Mostly on the ground today, as they've now packed down the snow around both feeders. Not nearly as many as cram into there, but like one of those "how many can you see" pics.

Made it home from work. I did a shift that normally has two people by myself. Owner closed the Tap House at the conclusion of my shift. Even let me forgo most of the closing tasks, including cleaning, so I could get home.
When I went out to my car, it was covered with about.2" of ice. Had to use my remaining ice spray to remove it. It was raining. Made it home, but had to drive slow. Roads were ice covered. Was glad when I saw a salt truck behind me. Slowed down so it could pass. Took me about 45 minutes to drive the 12 miles home. Forecast changed again. 4-5" of snow tonight and the same tomorrow. I am not going anywhere tomorrow other than on my own property.
Hoping Michigan does not get pounded with this storm, as it is nasty.
