Post office notifies me that I have a package coming today. I’m thinking, cool it’s my friends Christmas present that I ordered. So I see the mail truck and run out to meet the mailman. He digs in back of the truck and pulls out and hands me a big soaking wet box that’s falling apart. Thankfully it’s heavily wrapped in plastic. When he hands it to me I hear a lot of rattling around inside and my heart drops, as I’m thinking my friends gift must be in a thousand pieces. I guess one of the mail trucks drove into a lake and they salvaged my friends gift from the bottom of the lake.
So I bring it inside and take 10 minutes to carefully get all the plastic wrap off, because the box is falling apart. I finally get it open and a ton of rocks come pouring out with all their beauty and I’m like wait, what the hell??? I’m at a total loss for words or explanation. So I look through what’s left of the box and plastic searching for a solution when I find the shipping label that says it was from R&B Rock Shop.
Wow what an awesome surprise and thankfully it wasn’t my friends present in a thousand pieces lmao. It’s hard for me to believe that these were even rocks. Ive never seen anything like them before. I really had no idea how awesome and shiny slabs really were and omg the size of some of these things were unbelievable. There’s so many cool colors and patterns, that I can’t wait til it gets warm again to start tumbling these up. I couldn’t believe how hard and smooth some of these things were. They’re so solid and look like glass or tiles, that you’d see in the store. I’m still in utter amazement. The rocks here in New Jersey are soooo completely different and puny in comparison.
I can’t thank you enough my friend. It’s one thing to see all the pictures here on the forums, but to actually see and hold some was a truly unbelievable and amazing experience. I don’t know what any of them are, but my god I wish we had something even close in comparison here. I need to hit the lottery, so that I can move westward and find me some real rocks. I’m totally blown away.
Many, many thanks for such a kind and generous surprise. You brought a lot of sunshine and happiness to my day and future tumbles. I can’t wait!
Roy informed me that most of them are....hmmm how do I spell this?....lol....Owyhee Jaspers. To cool!!!
Autocorrect finally did me well.
