I just joined this forum yesterday, and love the wealth of information here and the supportive community of fellow rock enthusiasts. I've been rockhounding and tumbling for a couple years now and just completed a load tonight (mostly California beach jaspers, with a few misc ones thrown in as well). I use a UV-10 vibratory polisher. This is how it looked right after final burnishing stage before final wash off: And here are a few close-ups: Half of a lava cap thunderegg (I see a moon over mountains) A chunk of Morgan Hill poppy jasper (looks like a cookie monster face, or maybe "poppy monster" is more appropriate) A piece of orbicular rhyolite from Utah I think this one is petrified wood (found on the beach) And a few jasper pebbles found on the beach as well I find lapidary arts are a good way to lift the spirit (especially during these trying times). I'm looking forward to trying some new techniques I just read about to improve my tumbling results as well.

Welcome. Thanks for sharing. Some beautiful rocks you have. Love the breccia jaspers. Like how you see things in rocks. RTH has many members who post rocks/cabs/slabs and state what images they see in them.
