1000 AO...
Right now I’m running 500 AO for a day or two in Loto, then polish. It works great. I see that some use a 1000 AO step.
Pros? Cons?
Thanks.

I started by doing 2 days each step but now i normally just run 500 for 3-4 days and skip 1000 stage. Dont know if can see a difference either way.

I use it in the rotary, not really needed but it's just some extra insurance.

When I first got my Lot-O I used 1000 AO between 500 and final polish. I experimented just letting the 500 stage run for 2 - 3 days then going to final polish and got the same end result. For the last year I've stuck with skipping the 1000 AO step.
It doesn't really save me time but it is one less clean out to deal with and one less grit size to keep on hand. In fact I still have an unopened 5 pound bag of 1000 AO I haven't touched.

I just started doing the same as the others mentioned and letting the 500 run for 3-4 days. I’ll take a look at them tomorrow, which will be day 3 and see how they look.
