Nice tumble. Those cherts got a real nice shine on them.
This is absolutely the right board for these posts. We love pictures around here. The more the merrier!

Alibates! wow there is a material ya don't see very often! You did a nice job on 'em. More pics of the 6 medium sized tumbles along the bottom of that 2nd photo wouldn't be a bad thing.

Very excellent tumbles Bob. The bi-color red chert with the whitish top is an interesting looking rock.

The 2nd one from lower L corner (in the closeup I posted a few days ago) is the only rock I've ever collected of its type and appearance. It's grey-black-green, slightly translucent, and was found where I get my Alibates in OK and mixed in with it. It stood out as being very odd and I knew it should not be there. After much research, I believe it was traded material between native Americans up to 30,000 years ago, and is probably Georgetown "flint" (really chert) from a location in TX about 500 miles away! The flash of the camera makes it look patterned for some odd reason--it's really virtually patternless unless there is something under the surface I've not seen that reflected.

I'm lucky too and have a non native flint source nearby. The stuff I find looks a lot like Arkansas Novaculite. The surfaces even turn pinkish here. Probably due to the heat in summer. You could cook an egg on rocks in the summer.
