Hi, I’m going to keep this simple. I am looking for A friend or more to fit these requirements:
1. Able to travel-get a way on 2-3 week trips discovering the US. 2. Loves Rocks, long rock hunts and loves hiking/exploring outdoors. 3. Doing the above things from a travel trailer and long hours behind the wheel. I PROVIDE TRAVEL TRAILER AN ADVENTURE
I’m approaching 48. At this time in my life I’m finding it more important to get out and see and do things NOW instead of waiting for What our GOLDEN YEARS? Question... If you wait that long are you going to be physically able to hike up and down that mountain trail?
If you are a foody that Has To Eat three square meals then we’re not a fit. My breakfast is coffee, lunch is usually around 3-4 eating nabs outside doing something, dinner a sandwich and chips. The camper has a full kitchen though so if you think ahead you’ll be ok.
I take my mini dog everywhere! She’s loving, doesn’t shed, fully potty trained and she loves her mama.
Up coming trip is Quartzsite February! I will leave from Mississippi traveling with 32’ travel trailer. This trip will be 2/3 weeks long. If you live along the way, love somewhere cool a little outside the way, then I’ll come pick you up!
Interested? Let’s talk!

Sounds fun! I'm sure you will find a good fit.
ETA- I think you are spot on with getting these adventures done now instead of waiting. I'm too decrepit now to do anything and wish I had had my rock adventures in my younger years.

Yep, It would indeed be if I had a few friends that could share it with! My husband won’t camp, doesn’t care to be in a vehicle longer than driving to an airport and saying you like to hike but never actually doing it doesn’t count 😂 My sister has been going with me the last few years. She’s not as active as she has been in the past.

Love the offer, just would not keep up with you. I am lucky to cover 4 to 5 miles in a day and that hurts. I am getting trips in while I still can.

*cough* when? ETA: what kinda dog? Yappy? (getting the important stuff out of the way) This is Emy... she’s not yappy nor does she shed. She’s a huge eater though so Don’t fall for her sweet eyes and trickery! We’ll have to ask Tony ( catmandewe) when. Whenever the cookout will be!

My husband an I are 19yrs apart an what I’ve witnessed in the last year is, his agility has decreased, he gets tired quicker, bouncing back from injuries aren’t as quick. That alerts me to: Do it today, don’t wait.

Sounds like you have a good solid plan. It also sounds like a blast just having someone a long with the same interests is a major plus. Camping, rockhounding, catching breakfast at daylight from a near by water source how can that get any better Rock on girl make sure to show us your treasures when you get home.

If I wasn’t so far in the opposite direction I would definitely take you up on a traveling rock picking trip. Far as cooking I can cook but when it comes to eating breakfast I can’t even remember the last time I ate breakfast. Like you I absolutely have to have my coffee that is my breakfast and my first meal of the day is around 3-4 or later

A good portable black light with both short and long wave would a great tool to bring with you depending where you camp fluorescent rocks are a great addition to any rock collection

My rig: All the renovations will be done by October! No worries about getting things dirty. I used the good scrubbable paint and the new couch cushions are going to be scotch guarded. My guest will get the day bed that lets out to a king and Emy an I sleep in the bunk house in the back on the bottom twin. I prefer ROCK PICS too but this has to get done 😂
