SO had a little time this afternoon to take a few pics of my last tumble. I hung a new light in the shop and it really brightened things. Amethyst and some Plume Agates (Woodward Ranch) Chalcedony roses- these have run forever and I just got sick of running them Zebra Jasper from the Rock Shed, and some local collected cheers Montana agates , the upper left one may be a Black Skin agate Lace agates, some crazy and some Missouri also a few little Polish Flint pieces a few little LSA that have been rolling for months! Pet wood- mostly AZ This is one of my most favorite pieces of Pet Wood. And all the little bits and bobs. a failed cross, some small saw scrap, broken cabs.

I never would have guessed that your favorite pet wood was actually pet wood! It's a pretty one!

Your favorite is my favorite too. I would not have suspected that was wood without the ID. The amethyst came out sweet too!

So im new here and new to tumbling and my last couple batches came out with a white haze or film on them so i got cerium oxide and decided to run it through and see if it cleans them up but im wondering if you know what caused them to turn out so bad when the batch before came out perfect and did them the same way. Also what brand of grit is best to buy for tumbling to get the best results?

Great shine on that batch. I know what you mean about the chalcedony roses, I've gone down that road with the same experience. You have a nice bunch of pet wood there and I like your favorite; there are a couple in my bowl with a similar look. I have to agree though, that first pic has my favorites. Nice amethyst and plume agate!
