Today's my first day to use this site. Any suggestions for rock collecting sites near campgrounds in California's Mother Lode area? Thanks, B52

Welcome from Northern Arizona!
I know I'm missing others, but my brain isn't functioning with only 1/2 cup of coffee this morning.

Welcome. What are you hoping to find? There is quite a variety. And where in the Motherlode area will you be camping? hummingbirdstones I hope the rest of that coffee is in you by now

stephan, I'll second that assessment. I live far to the south in CA, like less than 20 miles from Mexico. I've no knowledge of campgrounds or rock collecting sites in the motherlode. Personally, I'd search the internet for campgrounds in the desired area, then do more research on what rocks are to be found near them.
