Has anyone ever seen a parts diagram for a UV-18 Vibratory Tumbler? I ordered a replacement motor for mine and it looks to be a lot of trouble to replace as the new motor is completely different. What I was wondering whether or not the UV-18 I have which I bought used had been modified to fit the current motor. A parts diagram would be useful to see that mine is factory original or modified.
Thanks Henry

Hey Henry,
I did a search online and couldn't find anything. I found a contact email from Thumler's website...maybe they've got something with regards to a parts diagram they could send you:

I imagine Thumlers may have improved their online communication with c0vid and all, but my personal experience with them has been that they are old school and are more responsive by phone. I am definitely curious how you resolve this. our older UV10 IND of the two had the center stud detach itself from the base, so it needs repair, possibly parts from them, soon as I can get past more pressing chores and find the box it's packed in.

HankRocks, Here's a few pictures of an old UV-18 that I purchased new about 25 years ago. Hope this helps. Good luck with your repair.

amygdule, pizzano Problem solved, I think. When I originally talked to Tru-Square about a replacement motor, he asked what type UV-18. I was not sure so he asked what is the color of the stripe on the barrel? told him it was yellow...(see where this is going) . So no problem so they had the replacement motor and had one shipped to me. When the motor arrived, I just knew it would not work. The two motor flange pieces would not accommodate the new motor studs. So I called back and explained the situation. It turns out I have the base for the Industrial(blue bowl) with a yellow bowl so they had sent me the wrong motor. That was corrected and they are sending the correct replacement motor and I will return the incorrect motor. All I can figure is that the original owner had somewhere along the way swapped out the bowl. He did mention that he had two bowls but we have never been able to locate it even after I searched several nooks and crannies in his Shop and Shed. It would make sense that if it was found it would be a "blue-stripe" bowl. Anyway, thanks for the responses. Hopefully in a week or so I will be back in the polishing business.
