Ok, these are from the same tumble batch as yesterdays pictures. They are all West Texas Material. Walker Ranch Red Plume IMG_3899 by Findrocks, on Flickr Singleton Ranch Bouquet. IMG_3903 by Findrocks, on Flickr Needle Peak PomPom IMG_3905 by Findrocks, on Flickr Singleton Ranch Bouquet. Actually this was collected over 45 years ago on my first trip to collect in West Texas. It was from the Bishop Ranch and it was cut and put away. When I went back years later to the Singleton Ranch, the spot looked very familiar. Went to look at old pictures and confirmed that the spot from 45+ years ago was now the Singleton Ranch. IMG_3907 by Findrocks, on Flickr Singleton Ranch Plume - It's an actual nodule about 1 1/2 inches in length and then just tumbled. IMG_3909 by Findrocks, on Flickr Singleton Ranch Bouquet. Really like the colors on the next pieces. IMG_3910 by Findrocks, on Flickr Singleton Ranch Bouquet IMG_3912 by Findrocks, on Flickr Singleton Ranch Bouquet IMG_3915 by Findrocks, on Flickr Singleton Ranch Bouquet - the backside of the previous piece. IMG_3917 by Findrocks, on Flickr Sadly the Singleton Ranch is now closed to collecting.

You know...there's something that is just amazing about the material from West Texas. I seriously don't think I've ever seen a material from there which I didn't like! All of these are pretty stunning Henry!

All beauties Henry and I second Robin's sentiment about the PomPom, that is wild.

I've come back to look at these pics a couple times now. I'll agree with Robin and Al...the Pom Pom deserves a shout-out! They look like dandelions which have gone to seed with yellow rather than white "poms"!
