victor1941 just had to go and get me all hyped up on black plumes (beautiful specimens you've been posting by the way). So thought i'd share some stuff that comes from an area I found out in central oregon. This is the only pics I have of the material atm, but the black plumes in this stuff share a similarity with material that is found in marfa TX. So thought it would be cool to share. Rough. slabbed/cut

Realrockhound, definitely nice plume and the streamers reminds of similar green from Needle Peak on the Woodward Ranch area.

realrockhound i dig the cut of your jib. as a fellow youngin who loves to dig you are stoking my fire something fierce. i cant wait to get uo and chase snow melt looking for anything that pushed up and i also judt adore hard rock agate hunting. you get nice bi"s and tri"s lol jk but that feeling of peeling away basalt and finding a nodule never before seen by man. c mon now! thats the good stuff!
