Running out of excuses to not work on an old HP 24. It has the large top window that needs replaced. Cutting a rubber/felt one pc gasket is not an option. What do folks recommend for gasket sealer? Some sort of oil pan gasket stuff should do the trick?
Thanks.

Looks like you already got the answer, Permatex Black. My FranTom 18 is going to need the lid done in it, after I attempt to remove the majority of the dents and bends. I use it to seal the front covers onto HP saws to convert to gear oil lube, no leaks so far. Since the silicone is flexible it should be ideal for a saw lid.
