I buy all my hard wheels from Top and they are shipped from Lithuania. They take longer than jb. My biggest complaint with jb was shipping cost so I needed to make a larger order and they were shipped UPS. The wheels now are shipped free by USPS.

I ordered a wheel on August 1. There was no confirmation email. On August 2, I got a shipping email. On August 4, I received the invoice. The package was delivered on August 5. They are in Southern California and I live in Northern California so delivery is fast.

I've bought a bunch of the JB geysers. The ones being sold show a circle but they are really a rectangle. They work ok. The Genie geysers deliver more water, but they are a different design. Two JB geysers under a wheel works well.
I looked for wheels. The cheapest is JB. I will vouch for their soft wheels. Choices are limited other than DP Pixie. You might want to message Baltic Abrasives for 4 inch hard wheels. They are great. Jadecarver has 4 inch hard wheels but are out of stock for the coarser grits.

It isn't unusual for a cab to go missing. The more cabs, the more missing. My living room area was badly cluttered. Our rooms are used differently than designated. The dining room/ family room is where are only couch is located. The living room contains a dining table and sideboard. The sideboard had a bunch of Riker boxes containing cabs sitting on top. I've been working on that room, tossing and relocating stuff. The sideboard is on wheels and I was able to move it to the center of the room and see what treasures were under and behind it. Surprisingly there were no cabs. I found a nice preform and a small template. Maybe they will be in another room hiding and waiting to be discovered.

That would make sense because of the location. Ochoco is usually white. The angle the slabs are cut at change the appearance.

This material was purchased 15 years ago from FRANK FRABBIEL who sold on ebay as roughntumble. He lived in Oakland Oregon and sold material mainly from the Washington and Oregon Area. I have never seen it anywhere since. He called it Golden Tube Agate.

It is the Panther look alike. The 10 inch and 14 HP have the same design. The 10inch cuts slow and is less likely to jam. About 15 years ago, I was looking for a new slab saw. My choices were the Covington and the Panther. I heard that the Panther cut to fast so I bought the Covington. The Covington has a unique design in with the clutch which would cut fast and then slow down when needed. My problems with the Covington were the carriage drifting to the right and the clutch adjustment. Also the on off switch that is connected to a rod broke and can't be replaced. I plugged it into a power strip for on off, but.....

I've been generally pleased with my 10 inch. The price has gone up 50% since I bought it. There is a piece that a spring attaches to where the spot weld broke off. They are sending me a replacement kit for free. It has been 3 weeks and no part because the part is in China. They had a labor day sale for 5% off. Their prices include free shipping and no additional sales tax. I have some rough that is too big for the 10 inch. My Covington is a 16 that I use a 14 inch blade and that is big enough. I would need to spend about 1/2 of what the new saw cost fixing the Covington and it would still be a pos. It wouldn't surprise me if I get the 14 inch before the little part.

I went shopping at Costco yesterday and someone was offering solar, so I made an appointment. I thought it was for purchasing equipment but it was for purchasing electricity. The monthly cost was about $200 a month more than I currently pay and a 25 year, $66,000 obligation. Given the rate annual rate increases without knowing the value of a $66,000 investment in 25 years, the cost may or not be a good value. At least, I have a number to compare against when purchasing the equipment.
If I sold the house without the prepaid plan and the new owner was not interested in assuming the arrangement, I would need to pay off the remaining part of the 25 year obligation.
I thought what the decision to be made was an investment that would be paid for over so many years by electricity cost savings. The more the rates go up, the faster the pay off. I was quoted a high cost of battery replacement and that batteries need to be replaced at 10 years. I won't know an actual cost until I get some other offers. I would also need to talk to a realtor to get the value of prepaid electricity. This is not buying a new car vs fixing an old one.

I get messages from PG&E regarding batteries. How long they supply power and electricity cost were not attractive. There is a question if my exposure is adequate, how much for the installation and how much savings off my electrical usage.

My plan is to pay for them outright, cash if it makes sense. Every time I refinanced my house, I took cash out and put into a bank account for future work on the house. That money is drawing no interest. Inflation had been low and I didn't want to take on any risk.

4th power outage in 48 hours. Unplanned, equipment can't take the heat. I have avoided considering solar for the reasons you mentioned. My electricity bill continues to increase. I'm 77 so 25 years is not a consideration. From the research I've done, solar can add value to when the house is sold so I don't need to wait 10 years. I'm a numbers guy so I need to proceed to get the information.

Good advice. I was not interested in leasing. I called one company and they did a satellite picture of my roof and it showed it 3/4 in shade, so not a good candidate for solar. I do know the picture is not accurate because I grow rose bushes and I know where the sun is and for how long. I have an appointment in a week.

I've never considered it because of the payback length. With the grid breaking down 3 times in the last 2 days and planned fire prevention outages, I am considering it. Advice?
