Sure looks like Stone Canyon or Stony Creek Jasper from California.

Ok, put my name on the list. I haven't wrapped in a while but still have the wire and tons of cabs so maybe this will give me an incentive to do more wrapping.

Great pictures Tommy. Glad you guys got some rockhounding in too. It was great seeing everyone, sorry I didn't stay longer but we were so tired. Thanks for the hugs, they were just what the doctor ordered and definitely appreciated.

Looks like you have been busy. Nice looking cabs for sure. Thanks Diane. It's been a while but getting in the garage and cabbing became fun and relaxing again... 'Course tomorrow is only supposed to have a high of 15 degrees- I suppose I'm trying to get in there and do something while I can still do it! Brrrr, I don't think I'd be able to do anything in 15 degree weather anymore. I've gotten soft from living in Arizona. I've survived -15 in Great Falls, MT but that was many moons ago. Now I feel cold in 50 degree weather.

Hello and welcome from near Wickenburg, Arizona. Glad you joined up. Hope you can make it over to Quartzsite for the RTH BBQ on Friday, Jan. 21st. There is a thread on here for that I think in the section of Life, the universe, and everything.

Just changed my rental from a 4Runner in only 2WD to a Jeep Wrangler for almost same price which I think only comes in 4WD. So we will be going for it with you and if things get too scratchy will get out there and search or turn back or whatever. The short wheelbase will also allow me to dodge between things more. We are overnighting in Blythe. I see that is only maybe 100 miles as crow flies from where I have done lots of desert rockhounding over by Amboy and Ludlow. If desert around Blythe/Quartzite is anything like that, then I almost fear it---millions of pieces of jasper and chalcedony just lying on top of the ground in all directions. I've got a few hundred pounds in storage and hope to be very selective about collecting any more. Of course I say that every time I go out... Since you are going to overnight in Blythe I figured I'd mention to you that there is a time difference between Blythe and Quartzsite just in case you plan to meet someone at a certain time. We've experienced time difference difficulties before when we planned a rock trip so figured it'd be worth mentioning just in case. I doubt I'll be able to make the rock trip because I'm selling at PowWow but hopefully will be able to get to the BBQ.

I will be there. I am selling again at PowWow along with Russ (nowyo) and my friend Frank. My booth numbers are 366 and 367. My business name is Artisan Rockhound. If you come to my booth please say hi and tell me you are an RTH member in case I haven't met you before. Looking forward to seeing a lot of people and know that those who are not able to be there will be missed. Diane

My Buddy Rodney recently mined it, I am slabbing it up for him to take to the PowWow. He brought over three large boulders, so lots of cutting ahead of me. I will want more info about this PowWow thing, plan to hopefully be there on set-up day for anyone who needs help, and for during the show. Considering if I will want to set up at Q at all in the future, so will exchange somewhat skilled labor for education and maybe a rock or two. I am a vendor at PowWow. If you want any information (or anyone else for that matter) just ask. It starts on January 19 this year and is held at the QIA building and grounds in Quartzsite. I have help with my booth but I'm sure there will be some who wouldn't refuse help setting up. A lot of vendors start setting up on the Monday before which would be the 17th this year but there are others who wait until the last minute. My booth numbers are 366 and 367.

Awesome cabs and congratulations on the new cabbing machine. That Prairie Agate cab is beautiful.

Finaly made some progress, needed space in the garage. Lol. Now i need to get it gone, maybe haul it out to Q next month or for the PowWow. That would likely sell very quickly at Quartzsite. Seems like equipment goes fast there.
