Fantastic news ! Glad you have more info and they are tracking your m-protein thingamajig ?. Prayer does wonders. On a separate but similar note my work deals 90 percent in extracting similar proteins from donor plasma. Never knew there was so many different ones before this or how they help people that are lacking specific ones.

Ya all make it look easy like that ! We have a pond in the back that overflows into a creek. I know there are fish in there but between the mosquitos, ticks and poison ivy we don't pluck them out often.I'd rather armchair fish right here. That grilled pic looks more like pork chops than a filet. Good eats guys !

Another interesting topic, you can pick some good ones for sure. I've got several folks in the family that ran down a lot of the tree on both sides. One lady came from Germany and stayed with my parents while going through local cemeteries for info. She tracked down the Lubben part quite a ways. The other side is half German half Swedish. Somehow I wasn't surprised to find out the the Aldi stores here are named Hofer over there. I've got frugal in my veins. That makes me 3/4 stubborn and cheap with 1/4 sweet and sardine loving. Close enough.
I got the wife one of those DNA tests for Christmas last year (don't judge ladies, she asked!) turns out her Hispanic heritage is 50% native to central/southern America's and 50% everything from spanish, north african, middle eastern, german, and Jewish. It was pretty interesting.

There's a lot of thoughtful and well spoken advice above. Not much I can add but you to our families prayer list. God bless !

Just got back from the Monterey post office, where I sent off 2 large priority boxes to myself. BIL and I managed to kill a couple Corona's and pick up some road ditch rocks. We always head to the same spot near where they live around Exeter. Last time I sliced some up it was a blue black mottled color with splotches of white here and there. It was fun but now the wife has ideas of shopping here in monterey. My fun was cheaper and more exciting than hers. I guess it's a matter of perspective. Back home to illinois tomorrow !

That's fantastic and time well spent. Sounds like there was some real trying times but you all came out fire tested and ready for the next chapter. Glad to hear your both home.

I was just telling the wife , maybe I should try to make a sphere machine after looking at all the lightning stone spheres. Something like the set it and forget it type would be perfect to keep up with mowing and everying outside. I must admit it has been appropriately placed on my honey do list. Should give me plenty of time to get parts..... Plenty of time. Oh well till then we'll enjoy this thread, come on folks roll em on out for Snowmom.

This was a great thread to resurect. I'm totally stealing ideas here. The wife has been bugging about redoing the halfwall topper in the bathroom. My laminating and routering skills leave something to be desired apparently. Thanks all

Your always good for some eye candy and partly responsible for my growing piles. Someday I'll have to actually do something productive with them.

Being a northerner that happens to live in illinois below the I-80 (only hicks live below I-80 apparently) threshold I don't have a dog in the show BUT... If a flag is so offensive that it needs to be banned we have bigger issues. After the Confederate Flag goes my Gadsden Flag is not far behind. This is just the tip of the iceberg. If I'm offensive or ignorant don't hang around me or my family. That was how I was taught, my offensive is not yours and vise versa. My grammar is sometimes bad and it doesn't stop me from correcting the grandkids whose grammar is worse. Sometimes being the offended one builds character no correct that. Most times being offended builds character. This PC BS has become catering to the whims of every person. It's just a sign of the times I guess. The next generation will be that much worse or better depending on your perspective. I think we can put them off for a while but they own common core not common sense.

Good idea, I have different names for them but not family friendly. With all the rain they are easier to pull but I've given up on the strawberry bed. I know when I'm beat.

Dang, don't know how I missed this one. I'm blaming the phone I inherited from the wife cause she hated it. Now I wish I wasn't so cheap and just got a new one too. Anyway prayers still are going out for ya Jan, your Pop too Jean. Good news all around doesn't mean they stop !

Sounds like a blast, couldn't have picked a better guy. I was tempted to go rifle through his yard after he moved but the wife had other ideas. You guys have fun!
