We're making a loop around out side of Atlanta now. Y'all common over. 14 miles south of your photos. Take first exit south when you get on to I-20 from the loop. Fulton Industrial Blvd., go south 14 miles to roundabout. Take Cedar Grove Road west 200 yards, turn left on Veal Rd. Go to end, turn left at fire pit. Go half mile. Sorry, got this a little late but coming back through mid July! I'll come by and visit then if your schedule permits.

My sis an I were up at 4:30am, loaded the truck, filled our coffee cups, kissed our loved ones then hit the road for our 7 hr adventure to William Holland School of Lapidary Arts! This week we will be taking a Hands-On, in the field, Mineralogy 101 class. We're both super excited! Hoping to get the opportunity to learn a lot and be able to share our adventures here!! Also super excited about getting to meet/hang out/rockhound with Ann ( fantastic5) on the way home. STAY TUNED!!!! jamesp, should be coming through your neck of the woods around lunch. So... what's for lunch?

I was admiring the stars and bars early today. In that case you would like the 4x6 flag I fly on a 25' pole in my front yard! I'll see about a picture tomorrow... Can't wait to see it flying high in person!

Nice! jamesp posted a thread or pics of him using a rifle (say rifle because I can't recall what exactly) to break up coral for tumbling. Wonder if my neighbors would mind if I tried that... Love your rebel flags!!!

coloradocliff, With my tumbling it depends. My rocks that will be put into glass vases for display don't have to be perfectly rounded. I too like to keep its natural shape if possible. If I'm adding performs of course that changes. WH is a lapidary school in the mountains of GA. Very well known an amazing reviews from past students. I am taking 3 classes total this summer. I am excited about my sis getting to go!! We vacation in St Martin a lot. Gotta get Conn out of the country away from cell service for him to relax.

coloradocliff, I can't get many past the first stage to go into the Lot O. My fault though. I don't recharge as often as I should. Not getting away this weekend. My sister an I leave at 5am in the morning heading to William Holland for a week. Taking Mineralogy 101!! But when we get back I'll have 3wks Shop Time before Conn an I head to St. Martin for a week. Besides Utah, it's my favorite Rockhounding place. We're hiking the mountains this time and catching a ferry to the island of Saba. I've read some really interested Geo-studies about that little island.
