I am enjoying the Guess the Number games enough to make another one. Working at the US Space & Rocket Center I will gather things that I can send in packages to my friends. Well you are my friends too so here is my version of the guess the Number game.
The prize items are . . . An astronaut Ice Cream sandwich that I got from the Gift shop Black SLS / Artimis sticker Clear Artimis sticker Apollo 16 Capsule Card Apollo Test Rocket Card Bumper sticker that highlights the word 'rock' in the word "rocket" Some rocks that I hounded in Yuma Arizona and polished Some #30 grit that will be used as packing material Plus a few more things that I will find before the contest ends
There is a 4 digit number on the Astronaut Ice Cream that I will be using as the winning number You can provide up to 6 numbers in your guesses, 0000 to 9999 , first correct guess wins.
Anyone that guesses the correct number again will get an Astronaut Ice Cream and some Yuma Rocks. If nobody gets the correct number then the closest to the correct number without going over will be the winner.
Contest to run for 1 week ending Sunday Night June 5th at 9:pm Central Time
--- Good Luck ---

My best rocks are kept in these 2 bowls
- Tip for beginners - Don't let small kids handle your Best Rocks , it will horrify you.

That's about it. Plus a couple extra barrels and 50 pounds of various grits.
and I should mention a Cleanout Sink out in the backyard that also has a Grit Recovery system on the drain.

Yes, Grit is getting more expensive. But I think this is one of the cheapest hobbies there is. After the initial cost of the tumbler and 20 pounds of grit, around $300 for the good stuff. I think that it is really Low Cost, especially if you are able to self collect your own rocks like I do. Electricity is about $5 a month for a 12 pound 50 Watt tumbler.
Buy a Good tumbler to start with and collect your own rocks, it's not expensive at that point . . .

After I tried out the big ungraded Silicon Carbide I started using only 30 Grit in my 1st stage tumbles using a 6 pound barrel
Here are some of the Largest grit pieces that were screened out of that stuff

@wooferhoubd Helpful, but how on Earth can a person accurately do fractions of when measuring? You would use the 1/4 cup scoop when you needed 3.3 tablespoons of grit Then use the 1/3 cup scoop when you needed 4.5 tablespoons of grit
