I have another newbie question...
I have a new Loritone 1 1/2 lb tumbler. I noticed when I ran it that only one of the two shafts was rotating by itself. Is this correct, or should both shafts spin? It seemed to be rotating a little slower than I thought. Also, when I checked the tumber each day, there was a lot of gray foam in the tumbler...very messy! When I used the cheaper plastic-type tumbler, I didn't notice a foam like this before. Am I doing something wrong, or is this normal?
Thanks for any help! Amy

One shaft is the power shaft the other is a guide shaft that turns when you have a barrel loaded. Have you oiled the nylon bushings at the end of each shaft?

Hi Amy I have the same brand !!! the second shaft is a support shaft and just holds the barrel...... Robbert is right add oil to the end bushings from time to time...... as to the foam this is common im not sure what causes it if its the rubber barrels or the mixing of the slurry with the air in the barrel........... after i had my tumble a month the drive belt started to stretch and the barrel slowed down.. to check if this is happening apply light preasure to the top of the barrel and see if it slows or stops......... if so you will have to adjust the tention of the belt by loosening the nuts on the back of the tumble and slide the moter to the right but just enough to stop the belt from slipping or you will stretch the belt and shorten its life span ... Hope this helps ya..... Hurk
