This month is slower with the entries then others. I’m eagerly waiting for more to see lol! Hopefully I'll have mine done this weekend and submitted by Sunday at the latest, depending on how things go this week. |

Just a week ago I decided to finally saw through a skinny heel that was included in a LFRB from Tony catmandewe. Until then I wasn't going to enter this month's contest, but I was intrigued by the area that I marked for cutting —

Okay, here's mine. Since it's a landscape, the art of the Creator, it must be framed. It is also a bookmatched pair of Beers Mt Picture Jasper (Wasco, OR biggs area but not road cut blue Biggs) Real close to 1" high x 2" wide.  For framing I used what I believe to be stinking water pet wood from Oregon. Backing and edge are also Biggs material, extremely dark brown almost black jasper.   Finished piece. Still working on the new Nikon and light box.  Cell phone pics under the work light for the Al Sesona grinder still look more like what the eyes see. My eyes anyway...  The judging pic.  Side shot from the end. It's domed on one axis with angled flats on the end, shows best on the video,  And speaking of video, I think I need a teleprompter... |

opalpyrexia - Gary, that is a great entry for the contest! That definitely looks like an area I'd love to go rockhounding!! Rockoonz - Way to pull another "drop the mic" moment out Lee! Beautiful intarsia!

Better in my case to be early, since the half dozen pics and a video say a lot more than the 2 pics for judging. If I ever get the photo thing working that may change. Now I'm hoping to see as many entries as last month, it's a good theme and I know there are some more eye poppers out there ready to impress. |

Your intarsia is pretty cool Rockoonz . I hadn't realized that they were domed at all, I guess my brain thought photo on wall, not domed rock work. A lot of work in that piece I'm sure, a real show stopper Patty |
