I am the #1 fan of John Sands beautiful cabojohns. I have collected just a few of his pieces in the last year and I thought I'd share them with you, photographed on my dining room windowsill this morning. I can't believe I lucked out and won THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON. I'll be collecting more, I'm sure. Thank you for your talent, Mr Sands. S AGATE THUNDEREGG IMPERIAL JASPER FLINTRIDGE FLINT STARBURST JASPER THE WHOLE COLLECTION I can't even bring myself to wrap them. S

This one ain't too shabby, either - Mexican lace. Also have the starburst jasper, same rectangular shape as this one. Rich

Hey, PARFIVE - I tried to get that Mexican Lace piece of John's off Kim's www.deltarockgallery.com site, but it was already gone. I'm glad it went to a good home. It's a beauty! Susan

Hey Susan, I have a small collection of CaboJohns as well. I'll take a photo, if I can just remember where I put them.

Oooooooooooooh, Ron- I hope you find them. I have this thing about cabojohns. Please post photos! Randy - I still think you should send your best piece of Zebra jasper to John and have him cut you a cab. You'll be hooked, too. Susan

Mr Sands- is truely a talented grinder- I have his old grinder and It yells at me everytime I grind- Tells me I'm not nearly as talented- Laughs at my feeble attemps- Then grabs the cabs from my hand and flings them to the back of the unit- Teases me- tells me to stick to tumbling!

I do believe John's cabs are the neatest I've even seen! I love the geometric shapes and he sure has fine taste when it comes to choosing what part of the slabs to cut his cabs from. The Flintridge Flint, starburst and thunderegg are my favorites....mel

The thunderegg is amazing - so fluid and three-dimensional....OH, and the window ledge color is AWESOME! :-)
