Took a little trip

Howdy folks! Headed up to the cabin Friday morn for some serious yard work and weed wackin’. Took us a while but we finally got things under control. Turned in early as I had my mind set on agate hunting the next day. The morning glories were there to greet me as I set out..






Christa didn’t feel like hiking so I went solo, driving out through the boonies and finally made it to my destination





I figured a 3 hour tour would work, as it was going to warm up significantly in the afternoon. Enjoyed the cool water running through the creek and noticed how much the recent storms had rearranged the scenery




Along my way I struck up polite conversation with this fellow




Of course the dragonflies thought I was off my rocker.




Perhaps I am. Anyway, I went as far as I could given the amount of water I packed, leaving just enough to make it back to the truck where a cold brew and a sandwich was waiting for me. Whatta treat!

This big crazy jasper conglomerate is 20 lbs or better. I found it was too much for my 16” saw when I got back. gonna have to wait until I get my 18” back up and running.
