I enjoy seeing people’s rockhounding results, so I create a thread to show my findings as well.
Hopefully I will become more and more picky along the journey.

2022/09 Sausalito beaches I never realized before that the beach rock could be so colorful. Can not resist taking some home… Various brightness of red The shiny yellow The peaceful greenish rocks

Multi colored rocks which could make interesting tumble I did some research and it seems many of these are brecciated jaspers(correct me if I am wrong as always) which might take longer in coarse tumbling step to produce satisfactory final look. Hopefully some smaller rock could be used as good fillers anyway.

Son of a beach those are some good lookin' beach rocks! Several of those pieces look very similar to either Stoney Creek Jasper or Stone Canyon Brecciated Jasper! I've tumbled some Stone Canyon before...I didn't notice any particular time differential for results. Each piece is going to be different though and will need to be checked individually as you go along with the tumble.

It's really a beauty!

Some nice looking rocks there. I love beach rocks. You might want to check hardness on the green rocks before you tumble. There's a lot of serpentine in that area and it's beautiful but it's soft. It looks like you might have a couple of chunks in there.

Wish I could help you out with an id for that gigantic rock, but no clue. It sure is pretty, though!

Some recent creek bed finds. Really common rocks. Leaves are falling. Not good for rock finding anymore. Very bright red when wet so I decided to keep it. Little black and white rocks. Only found a few that are not grainy on the surface and might tumble well. Interesting pattern. Definitely not going to tumble it.

Interesting that most of those recent finds are brecciated...which I think is SO cool to see in a rock!!

Not my own finding, but my mom bought some roughs for me to tumble, which will take months to ship across the Pacific. She show me the pictures, and asked me to buy roughs here for her in return 😁 Some sorts of jasper/cheers I think.
