Hi all, I just got into tumbling about 2 months ago with a purchase of a Lortone 3# and 6#. Since then I’ve learned that a vibratory tumbler is best after shaping in a rotary. Seems like I picked the wrong time to get into this hobby as vibratory tumblers are simply unavailable. And with all the research I’ve been doing it seems the popular Lot-o tumbler is unreliable due to motor issues. As for now I will just keep on with all stages in my rotary tumblers. I am learning lots from all the posts here and thank you all.

Welcome to the forum vickster. Kingsley North allows you to register for “back in stock” notifications. They will notify you when things become available. I’m strictly rotary. I’m working on my ninth three pound batch of the year. You can do some pretty nice work with rotary tumblers too.

welcome vickster from Washington state. I'm not so sure the Lot-o vibes are as notoriously bad as you might have heard. When I do the whole tumbling process in a rotary, I make extra sure to do a good clean out after each stage and I have a separate barrel for polish. Works great. I've even done polish in the same barrel as the other stages with an extra good cleaning before hand and it worked fine. I truly believe that one day the supply chain will be back to normal and the vibes will be readily available again, I'm not holding my breath though.

Welcome to the forum from South Dakota! I'll second what Brent said...and add that I "believe" you can contact The Rock Shed and they'll take a "pre-pay" for a vibe and send it to you when it comes in...

Welcome to the forum from Southern Nevada.
I just posted a UV-10 vibe tumbler I saw on Facebook recently used for a good price.
