 Flat on the face and round on the back! Just happened to break that way so I wrapped it kinda backwards. Sorry I don't have a picture of the back my wife put this one on right away. |

It's too bad the opal broke. It had a cool pattern in it. One suggestion: File that one wire that's on the left side of the bail and tuck it in closer against the bail to prevent scratches and snags in your wife's clothes.  |

Silver wrapped opal, nice job, way to go! I'm to scared to attempt that at this point. I did a small stone the other day and it was pretty tough. Your bindings look perfect. After seeing your stone and the beautiful fire on it I looked up Ethiopian opals. Some amazing stuff I wasn't aware of them at all. I ended up falling down a bit of a rabbit hole of Yowah Koroit and nut opals.
