Serious ? I sent you those materials ? Dang Jason you extracted beauty out of those cobbles. That red cab and crazy below are stunners. That crazy lace has about 6 different agates. The red cab has like cracked up hematite top right and left. Composition extraordinaire. Thanks for posting, so cool to see finds presented so well.

Those are stunners, Jason! Was this the first time you worked with jamesp's coral? So now you know that, in James' words, it's harder than a brickbat! It is some tough Schmitt! Also one of his words.

The red cab has like cracked up hematite top right and left. Composition extraordinaire. Thanks for posting, so cool to see finds presented so well. The first yellow one has some SICK moss in it! The second one is SO similar to Crazy Lace it's ridiculous! The third one acts/looks like a Porcelain Jasper! The fourth one is a Copper Complex...with actual copper showing on the surface. I tried to get a picture of it, but couldn't get it to show up in the pics. This is what I mean by the VARIETY of different materials in this "cobble"!

Great batch all around Jason, gotta agree with James, those last two are a notch above. Love the Montana and the golden shield as well

Wow... I beg to be educated: is "Rio Grande Cobble" the origin of the slabs or a certain type of rock that produces so many different colors and patterns?

Wow... I beg to be educated: is "Rio Grande Cobble" the origin of the slabs or a certain type of rock that produces so many different colors and patterns? Thanks PS! They're all different types of rock...from Moss Agate, to Fortification Agate, to Copper Complex, to what seems like a Porcelain Jasper. This material was collected along the Rio Grande River by JamesP. Here's a link to his thread about it. They're AMAZING materials with an unbelievable amount of variety to what is able to be found. forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/99324/rio-cobbles

I should cut a slab or two and keep for the future. Thanks Ashley!! DEFINITELY set some aside for later. Heck, even if you cut each one in half...tumbled one half and kept the other half for future use, you couldn't go wrong! I wish I could show you how to dome with your Dremel. Once you get it, it totally make sense...

Spectacular cabs, jasoninsd! Hard to pick a favorite, but I think that 4th Rio is IT. Looks like a bloomin' Monet flower garden.

I wished I could have gotten better pictures of that 4th one! Turning it in the light, there's several spots of actual copper that glean when the light hits it right!

Amazing that all the material came from one place.
Not boring cabbing all the same thing, even if you call it the same . That first moss shield is my pick, and the last crazy lace- love the tubes in it.

Thanks for posting those links Jim! I seriously never get tired of looking at Darwin's collections. Oh...and if you would need an "assistant" with that heavenly job, keep me in mind! LOL Amazing that all the material came from one place.

Thanks Patty! Sometimes I work myself into a trap when I'm setting up material to work. A lot of times 5-6 cabs of the same material (like 6 Exotica cabs) becomes "boring" to work when the patterns or the shapes are normal. A lot of time by the 3rd one, I regret having dopped the other three! So yes...working the "cobble" is not really working the same material over and over. Yeah! The tubes in that last CL are amazing! I love the variety of stuff going on in that single cab. All fantastic, sir! Very nice work and great material... š Thanks my friend! If there's anything I can do for you to help you out on your new unit, shoot me a text or give me a call.
