Whooo wheee! Just won me an auction for a big ole multicolored hunk of that swirlstone from Kim. Just like I've been a watching for! Will probably slab it for cabbing but was wondering. Anyone here tried tumbling any swirlstone? Any special recipe or precautions?....mel

susan i can't wait to see them cabbed. show us pics when you get them cabbed and again when you wrap them.
mel yours is boxed up and ready to send out monday. i haven't tumbled any swirlstone but if you are going to tumble it i would cut it up for the tumbler rather than whack it with the hammer. it will fracture under the hammer. or you might throw your trim scraps and heels in to tumble.

Kim: Thanks for the advice. I thought it was too pretty to whack up anyway. I'll probably slab it and make preforms. Thought if it tumbles well It'd make some great pendant stones for the kiddie booth....mel
