So I wanted to come up with a catch that went with wire wrapped stones & was interchangeable no matter what stone it was.
I got this out of a book by Sarah Thompson, although I down sized it a bit as I thought her version was way too big, and would seem uncomfortably behind your neck.
I'm pretty happy with it & I think it will suit.

I like it- beautiful and functional. I have to ask- does the weaving wire push up when you are slipping the jump ring on?

We'll see it it holds up.

Great idea and great job! I always struggle when I complete a necklace to come up with something both basic and a bit out of the ordinary. You've nailed it!

You brought up a great point about a lot of the clasps you see being too big. First tute I followed for one was so big it was absolutely ridiculous. I made up my own for a line of rubber cords I was doing that were small and more in scale with the cords. Very simple, yet practical. I think a lot of them are meant to be focal when they inevitably fall to the front.

The original one in the book was not quite double in size, big enough that I thought it would feel like something was crawling on my neck.
I've also done ones for leather cords to make them adjustable,
I make them out of 16 ga copper, and LOS them black to match the cord.
I usually spray them with Clear Guard, as wax makes them too slippery, and you need the friction.
Note- this is an older photo, I came to realize that the adjusters only work if you curve them away from each other.
Flat copper with holes in it makes it adjustable, but curved ones stay in adjustment.
I'll have to take a current photo.

Here's a photo of my updated leather cord adjusters. They work much like a line tightening thingy works on a tent cord.
Being 16 ga copper you can't just bend them like this.
I put one end in my bench vice & literally hammer them into shape.
Best to hammer before LOS.
