Any specimen collectors here? A goldsmith friend asked if we knew how much his pieces might be worth. Since we're not "mineral people" I had to tell him all I could do is look into it. Have done some searches, but figured the best place to get honest opinions is on the good ol' RTH.
The big one is 140g. The smaller one is 75g. They both have a nice crystal crust, and the color saturation is as good as I can remember seeing.

For collectors the value is not only due to size and aesthetics but also location it is from. The stone from one location can be a fraction of value as the same stone from another location.

vegasjames - These are from the Black Hills Mining District in Yavapai County, AZ. Not a "good" location like Bisbee.
