I also got some pounds of Rutilated Quartz hoping to get them tumbled one day. Did you mix Rutilated Quartz with other rocks? Did you tumble them in your 3lb tumbler?

It seems everybody love green beach rocks but the 3 beach rocks at the top row are especially expressive.

Did you tumble them in your 3lb tumbler? pebbleskyI tumbled them alone at first then they got to ride along with the red jasper and carnelian. They were divided between 2 3# barrels with the beach pebbles for filler. I have leland blue and cheveron quartz in the 2 6# barrels. Little of both in each one but 1 barrel is running 60/90 the other the other 120/220. My plan for the leland and cheveron in the 120/220 bath is 2 week tumble without peeking. Where did you get your rutilated quartz from? I'd like some bigger pieces of rough so I at least have something to look at. Some of the pieces you can barely see.

I believe we both got Rutilated Quartz from RTH Tony. The small sizes are perfect for my 3lbs tumbler but there is a long waiting list for them to be tumbled…

I just keep seeing pretty stuff I'd like to tumble (that I can afford) its amazing the cost of some kind of rock.

Thank you ashley and jasoninsd. I'm trying. ashley i am going to take better photos, singles and closeups. I was so tired last night I didn't even realize the photo of the rutilated quartz was yellowish/orangish.
