I like to make cabs with orbs and the orbiest material is Misty Mountain orbicular which is a type of polychrome jasper from Madagascar. I got this 6.5x4.5 inch polychrome slab. It has lots of orbs but not as tight as Misty Mountain. I respect tumblers. I just wish they wouldn't tumble gem Owyhee. I'm going to recut this tumbled slabette as a cab. It has a minor vug that goes all the way through but I couldn't snap it with my fingers.   |

If you got more of that, some inside swoop cabs with that pattern would look pretty killer.

I have a trimming that I can swoop. I started on 4 today. The fat pear, the Owyhee, a Deschutes scrap and a flame agate. The flame and the Deschutes are not pictured. The Owyhee is coming along fine. I couldn't frame the pattern and another vug on the bottom appeared. Through 280 soft so the vugs may improve with sanding and pre polishing. The vugs pass the fingernail test.  |

Exquisite! Love them all. I am guilty of tumbling good Owyhee and I really regret it now. That was before I ever even thought I would or could cab. The Misty Mountain is fabulous! Thanks for sharing.
