I bought a large butterfly wing jasper slab from an ebay seller. I got 6 preforms from it. When I completed the first cab, I sent her a picture of it. This something I do frequently. Many sellers like to see what was made from the slab. When I completed all 6, I sent her a group picture.
She mailed me a box of stuff for free that will arrive on Tuesday. I told her if I can use the material, I would make a cab for her. She did lapidary work and is unable due to an injury and is looking for a good home for her material.

It's stories like this that renews my faith in mankind. I have "met" many wonderful members with a heart of gold and I am know there are thousands more that I have yet to "meet".

I've been buying small split crandallite nodules from a seller in Utah. They are inexpensive and come from the same location as Clay Canyon. I started with two and got two nice cabs. I ordered some more and they weren't as nice but I still was able to make some cabs. I sent him one and a Lucin Variscite. I recently ordered some more got three cabs to sell and sent him another two. Today, he sent me some more for free and another couple pieces.
I've got three small pieces to make cabs with.

I like/prefer to support sellers like this. It does make my decision if I’m deciding between multiple sellers. Knowing they are good people and trying hard to run a quality business, I’ll even pay a little more to support that and then return to them first when I’m looking for something new later.👍

I love the butterfly cabs, beautiful work!
That's awesome for both of you. I love it when hobbyists (of anything) can share their love with others and sellers who aren't just after profit but want their items to be loved and enjoyed. It's such a shame when people buy things just to hoard them.
