So here are the stones that didn’t make the competition 🫣 I’m trying to decide which stone looks best as the stem for the mushroom. My plan is it wrap them together to give the appearance of a funky fun-guy. Which one do y’all like better, the Moroccan agate or the chrysocolla? Next up is the Gary Green that I was going to enter for the picture jasper / scenic landscape competition, however I forgot to take a picture of the rough before I cabbed it…🤦🏻 so… I didn’t. 😕 I was warring back and forth for which one to enter and I had landed on the circular cab, then it hit me about the photo of the rough 🤣 I won’t be making that mistake again. Hopefully. ☠️     |

These are really nice. The circle cab is super scenic! For the mushroom, I like the Moroccan agate combination more but both should work nicely.

Great looking cabs justin!! I think the Moroccan definitely looks great! My wife is really into mushroom photography and with the Moroccan the tilt and taper makes it look just like a King Bolete mushroom. Chalk me up for a Moroccan vote lol. Both Gary Greens are superb, especially the round one! Great job! |

Very creative & inspiring Are you going to glue the stem on before wrapping ?
The Gary Green round beautiful Ocean scene (at least that's what I see) is a show stopper.
Do something nice with that one, it deserves to be seen.

Are you going to glue the stem on before wrapping ?

It seems that the Moroccan has it! Every single vote has been for it and that’s where my mind was heading too… my wife is going to be sore though, she (and only she) has voted for the chrysocolla 😅 no, I’m not going to glue them. My plan is to groove both cabs with a seam large enough for either an 18 or 16 gauge square wire to fit in and use only that one wire (with half round wrapping wire) to connect them together. I knew that Gary green cab was special when I was grinding it. I’m not sure what to do with it yet, because, like you said, it deserves to be seen. thank you for the push to post them liveoak 😃 |

I vote moroccan as well for all the reasons above.
Also like the Gary Green/Freedom cabs. Still slabbing the bucket I got from John this summer.
They would have been great additions to the contest.

Justin - I'm sorry I missed commenting on these yesterday...I saw this, then got distracted...I swear it wasn't from eating mushrooms! LOL Those mushrooms are going to look SICK (in a good way! LOL)!! I really can't wait to see your final wrap on those!! As others have stated, that round Gary Green is off-the-charts amazing!! Great job on all of these!

Justin Looking forward to seeing this done. miket posted 3 cabs recently and they looked really good together. Also Bravura Cabochon Designs posted some nice two-stone earrings. Makes me want to see more multi-stone settings.👍
