Here are some cabs I worked on over the last couple days. I went through some of my already cut preforms...thus the "standard" run of the mill shapes. Tiger Iron ( RockingRuralMo I'm tagging you)  Laguna Lace Agate  Laguna Lace Agate  Red Jasper (?) from South Dakota  Orbicular Jasper (?) from South Dakota  Petrified Wood OR Coral from South Dakota (Not sure which it is!)  Teepee Canyon Agate from South Dakota (this one's killer!)  |

Sweet cabs! That teepee agate is spectacular! I'm really liking the orbi one (was he in Star Wars?) It's just mysterious looking.

I'm really liking the orbi one (was he in Star Wars?) It's just mysterious looking. Thanks Gary! I took one of my specimen Teepee Canyon Agate slabs...one that I was going to keep as a specimen...and cut around the fractures in order to get this beast. I wish I knew what that Star Wars rock is! I find that kind of rock frequently enough when out hounding. Not a ton...but often enough. I think it's pretty cool! Loving that red jasper! I haven't seen anything like it.
BTW- when do you sleep?? You've been busy.
Thanks Tela! I'll set that red one aside for you. I still owe you a box...and I haven't forgotten...I just haven't gotten much of anything I thought you'd like just yet! I may have a few things showing up this week though. Thursdays. Thursdays are my sleep day! LOL |

I used to pick up Prairie Agates all the time...I've got crates of those sitting outside. Now I have a tendency to pass up most of them. Maybe I need to get a few crates together of that jasper - instead of passing that up too! LOL |

I'm not gonna lie...I spent a bit of time going back and forth between the 280 and 600 to get some micro-scratches out. I didn't think that red jasper was worth finishing...but I'm glad I did as it seems to be the "hottie" out of the bunch! LOL |

I like the landscape Tiger Eye.
Some kind of a ocean / Antarctica scene going on there
(must be the cool temps here that have me thinking of snow mountains & cold rough seas !).
And the Coral / Pet wood one is a nice watercolor.

Thanks Patty! That landscape Tiger Iron was almost my entry for the monthly contest. If the one I submitted hadn't worked out, I would have tossed this one in. To me, it looks like golden hillsides...like maybe they were covered in yellow leaves. (I know...a stretch! LOL) |

I mean no more than the house in your picture jasper that I never did see.  But it was a nice cab .
