Here's some material that as far as i'm aware, i'm the only one that has it. Minus a few people my grandpa gave some too and some I gave to jasoninsd. Decided to cut a cab this morning. Couple lil micro vugs showed up on the outer edge getting filled with cerium. But overall thought cab turned out nice. Plan is to start selling some material off in the future. Chinese Jasper

Very nice looking stuff!!! So, does it come from China? Tbh.. I’m not 100% positive where it comes from. My dad said when he was a kid, and my grandpa was cutting logging roads, he remembered him coming home with literal tons of it each day after work. At that time my grandpa was cutting logging roads off China hat road, in deschutes county just outside of prineville. Then I ran into a guy named rooster, over on the Oregon coast who actually knew my grandfather, and he asked me if I still had a bunch of that material. His story is that there was a landslide out in the ochocos exposing it, and a couple old prospectors packed it out by mule. By the size of some of the pieces, I’m going to assume that what my dad told me is more accurate 😂

Pretty- kinda reminds me of baskenite, I think it's called, but better.

There's a couple things I really like about this material...there's quite a bit of variety with regards to color and pattern...and this material polishes amazingly well! Nice job on the cab. I like that shape.

I like that shape. Ya know.. I got a ton of it slabbed. I need to sit down one day and cab like 10 different slabs and show the variety of the material. I have a sphere of it. Makes great sphere material

Used to be a mt hood club show vendor. When you're ready to box some-o-dat up let me know. I know he a actually knew my grandpa. He explained the property pretty well and the materials on it. So he’s definitely been to the house. Plus there are buckets of traded material around the house that say rooster. Another one of the stories he told me is that my grandpa actually told him that he was going to leave all the rock to him 🤣. In my head I was like ya don’t say… because I remember my grandpa days before he passed telling my dad it was all his. My dad has told me countless times my grandpas intentions were to stockpile as much as possible then when he passed, the kids (me, brother and sister) were to split and sell it. But I was the only one who wanted it, so here I am.

Really cool looking stuff. I'll be interested in seeing some of the other patterns and watching for your boxes.
