jasoninsd I wanted to show you this, but I didn't want to post it in your weave thread. The top of this has netting, the sides are done with one weave, the bail with another and the back with another.
I don't like the bail. This was a test piece. I never did do another, but I'd like to see your take on it. You seem to have a knack and like for weaving. You can work this out.
I made the woven frame. Netted across the top, dropped the cab in and cinched it up to the netting with a straight weave on back. Then I finished the bail. At least- that's how I remember it.
This is rather small- about 48mm total. It's a sugilite. I always meant to unwrap this and redo it in silver... but me and weaving..........

Thanks for posting this...and the challenge! I think I can figure this one out. I actually like the bail! The bezel is a SICK weave...but I think I get it... *I did immediately look up netting. I knew what it was...but I didn't know what it was called! LOL

I have the original design tute by Eni Oken, but I don't like it. I tried to find the old vid I followed because it was really simplified, but I can't find it anymore.

I actually want to see if I can figure out the weave by looking at your pictures. I think I understand how it's constructed...but if I "alter" it a little, I can say:

I think I understand how it's constructed...but if I "alter" it a little, I can say: Oh yeah, for sure- do it your way. The weave on the sides is straightforward. But then you add to it by weaving the back wires through it. But, I'm sure you figured that out. You'll be a master in no time.
