I finished this one too late for the landscape competition - a very realistic scene with a tree & sky.
Seriously, my sister is having a fundraiser for her school & of course I got nominated to make something for it.
I thought "Bloodstone" was appropriate, since I felt she was bleeding me for this donation- as I don't even live near her. I had this purchased cab kicking around that I didn't have to make, and I thought why not think of it as a practice session. So no landscape, just very reflective bloodstone.
Thanks for looking,
Patty

Yeah, not sure why that was. Or maybe truthfully, she's probably hinted at in other times, but this year she says,
"I mean you're making lots of stuff, cutting your own cabs/rocks, what exactly are you doing with it all & we're having a fund raiser at school !"
Like I said, Bloodstone was definitely appropriate (although I probably won't tell her that !)
But I think the wrap came out nice. I like the bottom detail, which was a new one for me. I was inspired by looking through one of Tela's galleries ( rockjunquie), ( Thanks Tela ) and thought it would fit to jazz up the kind of plain stone (when the reflection isn't there).
Good practice anyway.
Thanks for looking,
Patty
