What oil do you guys use and where do you get it from? It’s time for me to oil my vacuum pump.

To oil the leathers, remove the left hand hood. The pump will then be exposed. Remove the middle screw (see picture) that is painted red. Place one drop of 30 weight motor oil in the hole and replace the screw. This hole oils the leathers, and any excess oil will eventually come out the air outlet tubing and into the water pan.

Fwiw, Tela, WD is not motor oil, 30 or 40 or otherwise.

Yep, it's always been straight 30 weight according to Don at DP.
I cheat and drop some 20W into the pump for the leathers now and then, but only use 30W in the lower port.

Vince beat me to it. There are 2 places to oil on a genie, both are important.
